He did severe damage to the car (as you can see) including damage to the roll cage. Guess how long M-Sport says it will take to unwad the car and get it back to race-ready condition.

We’re going to need a bigger buffer.

The car was prepared by British squad M-Sport and a team spokesperson said the damage was too great to repair in time for Thursday’s start of the eighth round of the WRC season.
“The car will require a complete rebuild back at M-Sport. There was a lot of damage to the rear, especially to the roll cage, which is not something that can be repaired away from our workshop.
“The damage is such that our technicians estimate the car will need 10 days’ work to get it fit for the stages again,” the spokesperson said.

Are you looking for days? Hours? Minutes?
I’d say 4 days

They’re not quite that good (or, alternately, the damage is that bad). 10 days.

Meanwhile the body shop held my dad’s van for more than ten days when they just had to replace two doors and a fender.

I wonder if he crashed because he lifted

Pardon my ignorance, what’s the make/model of the car? It looks kind of nifty (or at least the bits that aren’t crushed).

He just won ERC Rally Estonia in a Group N Evo X, beating out all the R5 cars. I don’t think he’s familiar with the concept of “lifting”

It is a Ford Fiesta, not sure if full WRC spec or R5 spec car on this one. They look a. But more aggressive than the street going version. They also come with about 200 more horsepower and AWD. M-Sport runs the Ford Fiesta WRC program. It’s a factory level, but not quite factory setup similar to Prodrive.

Nope, his driving style appears to be aggressive initiation followed by FULL POWER

If you’re going to run with the onboard then you should know this is from Rally Estonia 2014, where he finished second, being beat only by Ott Tanak.
No sign of the 2015 onboards on YouTube yet. ERC tends to be pretty restrictive with that kind of stuff.
